Youth Art Programing
Youth arts programs are powerful crime prevention tools. The goals of this prevention program are many: to divert at-risk youth from the juvenile justice system; to improve their social behavior and social skills; to improve their academic performance and commitment to school; to develop their art skills; to provide them with opportunities to perform and exhibit their art
The arts-whether they be during or after school-provide opportunities for youth from all backgrounds to do something positive . . . with their talents and their time.
